Maintenance
Observe standard EN 60079-29-2 and the relevant national laws and
regulations.
During commissioning
Conduct the lamp test (see page 30).
Check the signal transmission from and to the gas transmitter
including switching of the gas transmitter to the special condition
maintenance.
At regular intervals,
the following points need to be set by the person responsible for the
gas detection system:
Visual inspection to establish readiness for operation.
Check remote access box for contamination and damage.
Check electrical installation for the correct status.
Conduct the lamp test (see page 30).
Check the signal transmission from and to the gas transmitter
including switching of the gas transmitter to the special condition
maintenance.
Annually
Arrange for inspection by trained personnel.
The maintenance intervals in each individual case are influenced and if
necessary shortened by technical safety considerations, engineering
processes and the technical requirements of the equipment.
We recommend a contract with the service organisation of Dräger
which also covers repairs.

NOTICE
To avoid false alarms during maintenance, set the analogue output
signal of the gas transmitter to maintenance signal or ensure that
the alarm activation on the central controller is locked.
After completing maintenance, switch the analogue output signal of
the gas transmitter back to measuring mode where applicable (if set
to the maintenance signal) or unlock the alarm activation on the
central controller.
