2.2 General instructions

The AQUATEC FORTUNA may only
be used for the lowering and lifting of
persons in a bathtub.
If you have been advised for health
reasons not to take a bath on your
own, use the device only under
supervision.
Example: You might be unable to
reach the EMERGENCY-STOP but-
ton at the hand control device.
Never allow children to play with the
AQUATEC FORTUNA.
Minors may only operate the
AQUATEC FORTUNA under super-
vision by an adult.
Keep your AQUATEC FORTUNA
clean and service it regularly accord-
ing to the servicing instructions in this
manual.
If you detect any malfunction or
defect, immediately contact the ven-
dor.
Do not make any modifications to the
device.

2.3 Operating instructions

Prior to taking a bath, complete a test
run* to ensure that the AQUATEC
FORTUNA works properly.
Also check the bath temperature
before you use the AQUATEC
FORTUNA.
Observe the details given on the type
plate. Do not overload the AQUATEC
FORTUNA.
If you are using bath oils or bath
salts, do not exceed the recom-
mended dosage. Bath salts, etc. may
impair the operation of the lifting scis-
sors.
The hand control device may only be
used, when the backrest is properly
mounted and in upright position.
When transporting the device and
when it is not used for a prolonged
period of time, remove the battery
from the slot. Do not use any other
battery than that supplied with your
AQUATEC FORTUNA.
Do not reach between the base plate
and the seat plate.
* Move lift without load once to the upper
stop and then to the lower stop.
