Troubleshooting/error messages
Symptoms
You cannot operate some functions of an AV
source on the map screen.
Route calculation seems to have stopped.
Navigation voice cannot be heard from the
speakers.
The current position displayed on the map
remains wrong for more than 30 minutes.
The distance and estimated time in the
guidance are inaccurate or the current position
is not displayed correctly after replacing/
rotating the tires.
The night color of the map is not displayed.
The calibration is not completed.
"GPS antenna error. Please check connection."
"Route calculation failed."
"Speed pulse not detected. System works as
GPS only mode until speed pulse is detected."
"Selected coordinates are out of map area.
Please input again."
Remedies/Causes
On the map screen, you can operate some limited
functions of the current source only. Press AV and operate
the source on the AV screen.
Route calculation may take long depending on the route.
Wait for a while.
The <Voice Guide> is set to <Off>. Set it to <On>
(☞ page 39).
Check the connection of the following leads.
– GPS antenna
– Speed signal lead
If any disconnection is found, connect the lead again.
• If no problems are found with connections, reset the
calibration data by selecting <Sensor Status> -
<Calibration> - <Reset>. (☞ page 37)
Perform <Sensor Status> - <Calibration> - <Reset>
to clear the accumulated calibration data. (☞ page 37)
• The <Night Map Mode> is set to <Off>. Set it to
<Auto>. (☞ page 38)
• The illumination control lead connection is not
completed. Have the lead connected at your dealer
correctly.
Check the connection of the speed signal lead and the GPS
reception.
Check the connection of the GPS antenna.
Failed to calculate the route. The destination/via point is
too far from any road. Select another destination/via point
where is close to a road.
Check the connection of the speed signal lead.
The coordinates you have entered are not available. Input
the coordinates again.
