Gas connection
Connection of the gas distribution
system and the valve assembly must
be carried out by qualified personnel.
Pipe sections must be calculated such
that head losses do not exceed 5 % of
the distribution pressure.
Valve assembly
· Remove caps on A,B and C.
· Check presence and position of the
O-ring seal J1 on the flange.
· Fit the pipe to the burner (on the right or
left) and then the valve (caution: arrow
direction) with the coils in top
vertical position.
Electrical connection
The relevant electrical data - voltage,
frequency and power - are shown on
the identification plate.
Minimum conductor section: 1.5mm
Minimum protection 6.3A delayed
action fuse.
Refer to the wiring diagrams for the
electrical connections: diagram on the
burner and diagram screen-printed on
the 7P and 4P sockets.
· Check the polarity between phase
and neutral. The earth wire should
be connected and tested.
Conversion
natural gas Þ propane gas
· Loosen the four screws 5 five turns.
· Work the board free and pull until
completely clear.
· Hang the board from the hanging
point 7.
· Loosen (clockwise) the locking nut
on the gas head.
· Loosen completely (counterclockwise)
the spherical head screw E.
· Remove the firing head.
· Remove the two turbulator fixing
screws, the diffusor D.

Assembly
Mount the burner onto the boiler using
the flange supplied. Drill mounting holes
according to the diagram opposite.
The flange may be used as a guide.
· Fit the flange and seal to the boiler.
Check for tightness.
· The burner should be fitted with the
volute facing downward 1. Where
necessary, it may fitted volute
uppermost 2.
· Insert the blast tube into the flange
(refer to boiler instructions for penetration).
· Tighten the clamping ring, lifting the
rear of the burner slightly.
A ball valve (not supplied)should be
installed between the valve assembly
and the gas supply. The fittings and
threads used must comply with current
standards (tapered male and parallel
female gas-tight threads).This type of
assembly should not be disassembled.
Allow for sufficient room for access to
the gas pressure switch and to the
various setting controls. Gas supply
must be drained.
Connections made in situ should be
leak-tested using a foam designed for
this purpose. No leaks should be
observed.
There should be no voltage (continuous or
otherwise) between earth and neutral.
If necessary, install a 250VA isolating
transformer.
2
The gas valve assembly is connected
by pre-wired connectors.
Available on option:
External connection:
Alarm between S3 and N.
Time meter(s) between B4 and N.
· Fit the propane diffusor GP (stored on
the board) to the gas starhead, and
fit the turbulator.
· Tighten the two screws firmly.
· Reassemble the different pieces by
proceeding in reverse order.
· Check that the O-ring seal J2 is
present and correctly positioned.
· Tighten the board.
