2.2.1
Safety at the workplace
•
Use the tool only in good visibility conditions. A dark work area could cause accidents. Do not make tying operations in
low light conditions, such as in the dark in closed or open environments, at night, at sunset, at dawn, with dust or sand
in the air that prevents clear visibility from less than 2 meters. To check whether the visibility is acceptable, put the tool
at a distance of 2 meters with visible labels, which must be clearly read.
•
Do not use the tool in an explosive, flammable or damp environment.
•
Keep children, bystanders or animals at a safe distance before operating the tool, in order to avoid dangers or injuries.
When determining the safety distance, assess the risk of taut branches being thrown at people, things or animals. Un-
der normal conditions of tension, 5 meters is the adequate safety distance from the extremities of the branches.
2.2.2
Electric safety
•
The supplied battery charger needs a socket which is compatible with its plug. Do not modify either the plug or the
socket.
•
Before, during or after its use, do not leave the tool in the rain or water, in humid environments or in any other damp
condition, in order to avoid the risk of electric shocks or short circuits.
•
Keep the tool away from heat, oil, solvents, sharp edges and moving parts.
Warning for the use
•
Use the tool only for the purposes described in par "Product description". Any other use could cause injuries and is
expressly forbidden by the Manufacturer.
•
Do not use the tool if it is damaged, wrongly adjusted or not completely assembled.
•
Wear protective glasses or a visor, safety shoes, anti-vibration gloves and a noise-abatement headset (par. 3.8).
•
Keep a safe and stable working position, which guarantees a perfect balance (i.e. flat and dry surfaces).
•
When the display (8) is on, it indicates that the tool is working.
•
Do not leave the tool in the rain. Keep it in a dry place.
•
Do not use a battery charger other than the one supplied by the Manufacturer. Neglecting this requirement can cause
serious damages to the tool and injuries to the user.
•
When the tool is not used, remove its battery (14) and store it in a clean and dry place.
•
While using the tool, do not remove the front cover (5). Keep any part of your body at a minimum distance of 5 cm from
the tying area during tool operation. When operating the tool, any neglecting of the warnings can cause personal injuries
•
At the end of the tying operations firmly hold the tool while detaching it from the branch. A careful use of the tool will
protect the operator effectively and extend the tool lifespan.
•
Do not try to repair the tool yourself. In case of need, take it to an Authorized Service Point. All repair and maintenance
operations which are not described in this manual can only be performed by an Authorized Service Point.
•
The product is designed to tie vineyard shoots and other kind of branches having a maximum diameter of 25 mm. Do
not use it to tie branches with a larger diameter. Exceeding this limit would damage the tying tool.
•
Do not use the regulations from L4 (6 twists) to L6 (8 twists) for branches with a diameter over 20 mm, because the tie
twist could break.
•
Do not try to unlock the tie supplying hook or caught tie, if any, before turning off the tying tool.
•
Tying is over when the hook (4) goes back to the initial position and there are no foreign materials entangled.
•
Before starting any tying operation, please check there are no objects hidden among the branches, such as electric
wires, iron wires, other branches and leaves. They could affect the correct hook movement.
•
When operating the tool, always hold it in one hand and keep it at a distance of at least 5 cm away from the other hand
and any other part of your body.
•
The twist tie supplying system must be checked and cleaned frequently. Caught materials can affect the tying effect and
overload the tool. Warranty becomes void in case of damages due to neglecting the maintenance operations described
in this manual.
•
Use only the tie suggested by the Manufacturer. The use of another kind of tie makes the tool warranty become void.
•
In case of wrong tie installation or if the tie is coiled, knotted or blocked, the tie supplying system may not work correctly,
leading to a failed tying operation or to a tool damage. A tool damage due to incorrect tie installation is not covered by
the warranty
