On the bottom of the insert, you will find two belt straps each with a
quick locking system and a safety buckle. Guide each of these belt straps
around the seat board you are planning to use and insert the ends of the
quick locking system into each other until they audibly click into place.
The belt straps should fit tightly against the seat board. Adjust their length
if necessary. To avoid loosening the belt straps, slide the safety buckle
close to the quick locking system. (Fig. 2) Next, mount the top belt straps
to the ropes or chains the board swing is attached to. Use the carabi-
ners on their own when working with chains and in combination with the
8-shaped hooks when working with ropes.
If you are mounting the insert to chains, please remove the 8-shaped
hooks from the carabiners. Subsequently, hook the carabiners on both
sides of the holding device into a compatible link in the chain so that the
chain is slightly tensioned and screw it in until you reach the stop. (Fig. 3)
Both carabiners must be at the exact same level when finished.
If you are going to use the 8-shaped hooks on ropes, you will first have to
remove them from the combination so that you can handle the carabiners
more easily. Open the locking hooks on sides of the 8-shaped hooks. At
the optimum height, push a part of the rope as a loop through the larger
half of the 8-shaped hooks. The loop must be guided through the 8-sha-
ped hook to the point that you can close the locking hook beneath the
loop. Once you have done this and then pull the rope tight, the rope loop
will run over the locking hook, which fixates it into place. The smaller half
of the 8-shaped hook should now point downwards. Hook the carabiner
into the smaller half and screw it into place to the stop. (Fig. 4) Do this on
both ropes. You can adjust the position of the 8-shaped hook up and down
by pushing on the rope. However, nobody should sit in the swing while
you are doing this. Ultimately, when you're done, both 8-shaped hooks
must be at the exact same level. Both types of mounting require you to
ensure that the belt straps are attached with the proper tightness and
that there is some tension between the swing board and the belt strap.
To dismantle the insert, please follow these instructions in the re-
verse order.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Do not position the child on the insert until you have checked that the
mounting work is absolutely secure. When you place the child in the
insert, guide the legs through the leg openings on the front of the insert.
For added safety, the child should also wear the hip safety belt, which
is mounted to the seat within the insert. The quick locking system must
audibly click into place. If necessary, adjust the length of the hip belt. To
avoid loosening the hip belt, slide the safety buckle close to the quick
locking system.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

Check the product for damage or traces of wear and tear before and
after each use.
We also recommend before each use:
• To replace defective parts according to the manufacturer's instructions
• To check swing seats, chains, ropes and other means of attachments
for evidence of deterioration
To protect the environment and for waste-prevention purposes, HUDORA
does not use plastic bags with many products. Please use a dust cloth
as necessary.
Use only a dry or damp cloth to clean the product; do not use special
cleaning agents! Check the product for damage or traces of wear and
tear before and after each use. Do not make any structural changes.
For your own safety, please use original spare parts only. These can be
sourced from HUDORA. If parts become damaged or if sharp edges or
corners should develop, the product may not be used any more. If in any
doubt, please contact our service team (http://www.hudora.de/service/).
Store the product in a safe place where it is protected from the elements,
cannot be damaged, and cannot injure anyone.
Since the product has an integrated metal frame, wipe down! Do not use
any solvents or aggressive detergents! Do not bleach! Do not tumble dry!
If you iron the product, only use low temperature settings! Do not dry
clean! Make sure that the product is neither wet nor moist before you
store it in the carrying bag it comes in. Failure to comply with this may
result in mold development.
We also recommend you do the following prior to every use:
• Check the board swing to make sure that nuts and screws are firmly in
place and inspect in particular the chains/ropes, the seat of the swing
and any other accessories for signs of wear and tear.
• Replace and defective insert components in compliance with the
manufacturer's instructions.
DISPOSAL ADVICE
At the end of the product's life, please dispose of it at an appropriate
collection point provided in your area. Local waste management
companies will be able to answer your questions on this.
