NOTE: If the cable stops rotating, release the foot
pedal to avoid kinking or damaging the cable. Place
the direction of rotation selector in the clockwise (
position and try again. If the cable still does not rotate,
place the selector in the OFF position and push or pull
until the obstruction is dislodged.

Do not run the drain auger in the clockwise (

When the obstruction is cleared, place the direction of
rotation selector in the OFF position and slowly retract
the cable from the drain.
NOTE: If the tip of the cable is entangled and difficult to
remove, change the direction of rotation to clockwise (
and run the tool briefly to unwind and disengage from
the obstruction. Then slowly retract the cable by hand.
Run water through your drain to confirm that the water
is flowing freely.
After the cable has been properly cleaned, as described
in the next section, store the unit for later use.
OPERATION
CLEANING THE DRAIN AUGER

The drain auger should be cleaned after each use to prevent
contamination and residue build up.
To drain the drum:
Remove the battery pack or power cord from the tool.
Place the drum body in its highest angled position.

any liquids inside the drum to pour down a drain or into
a container approved for liquid waste.
To clean the cable:
Remove the battery pack or power cord from the tool.
Using a clean cloth and warm soapy water, pull the cable
out from the tool, cleaning it as it advances. Continue

until the cable has been fully advanced and completely
cleaned.
Using a clean cloth moistened with lightweight machine
oil, push the cable back into the tool. Continue until the
cable has been fully retracted.
To ensure that no water entered the tool, drain the drum
as described earlier.
