5.6. Transporting the wheelchair

In order to prepare your wheelchair for transportation in a car,
proceed as follows.
Remove the leg rests (Fig. 40).
Release the backrest lock on the gas-pressure cylinder.

Fold the backrest forward.
Release the parking brakes on the right and left of the drive wheels.
Now you can easily remove the rear wheels via the quick-release
axle (Fig. 41).

The frame and the push handles are the only places
where the wheelchair can be gripped to transport it.
Armrests must never be used to lift the wheelchair.
Do not use the side panels to carry the wheelchair!
