Be ware of extension cord - Always keep the


extension cord away from the cutting area and
obstacles. Keep it away from heat, oil and sharp
edges. Frequently inspect the extension cord; do
not use insulation tape to mend it.
Do not force the hedge trimmer - The


equipment will work better and safer when
used under the conditions specified.
Unplug the hedge trimmer - Whenever the


hedge trimmer is not being used or when
making adjustments.
Do not be overconfident - Keep your feet on


the ground to maintain balance during use.
When using a ladder - Make sure it is steady


and follow safety instructions in accordance
with NR 35 for working at heights.
Be alert - Pay attention to what is going on


around you. Do not use the hedge trimmer
when you are tired, distracted, or under the
influence of alcohol or drugs or in a dimly lit
environment.
Keep the hedge trimmer in good working


conditions - When not using the hedge
trimmer, keep it in a dry place, protected
from the weather, away from children and
people not familiarized with the it. Never use
a water jet to clean the trimmer. Clean the
plastic cover with cloth and mild detergent.
Clean the cutting blades with a brush or air
spout while wearing goggles. After cleaning
the blades, it is recommended to use a
biodegradable lubricating oil to conserve the
steel. Also, cover the blades with the plastic
cover that comes with the machine.
Take care of your hedge trimmer - Keep


blades clean and under perfect usage conditions
to obtain good and safer operation. Repairs
must be made by authorized technicians only.
Keep safety devices at proper places and in


working conditions.

Never transport the hedge trimmer by the


extension cord.
Keep both hands away from the cutting area.


If the hedge trimmer throws a weird object -


Follow these steps:
a. Immediately switch it off.
b. Disconnect the extension cord from wall
outlet.
c. Check the extension cord and the hedge
trimmer for damage.
d. Fix any damage before restarting it.
Wear safety goggles.


The motor used in the hedge trimmer -


It is of universal type. At every 300 hours check
for brushes (coal) wear out, and if necessary,
substitute them. Look for the nearest TRAPP
technical assistance shop.
Call qualified professionals to service


the equipment. Use original parts only.
Always call TRAPP Authorized Service
Technicians. TRAPP is not responsible for
occasional accidents caused by the use
of spare parts that are not original.
To reduce the risk of accidents - Frequently


inspect the hedge trimmer; if there are traces
of wear out or deterioration, immediately
have the parts substituted.
To reduce the risk of electric shocks -


Do not expose your hedge trimmer to
humidity. If the extension cord is damaged,
immediately have it substituted; never use
insulation tape to mend it.
Warning!
If the power supply cord is damaged, it shall be
replaced by the TRAPP Assistance Shopp (or
dealer) in order to avoid the risk of accidents.
