Instructions to Assemble the Protection Device
Before switching on and using the hedge trimmer,
install the protection device as described below:
Place the protection device (1) in the front part
 
of the equipment (3).
Use the screw (2) to secure the guard (1) to the
 
machine bore (4).
Warning!
Never use the hedge trimmer without the
protection device.
Warning!
Any and every maintenance or cleaning shall
be carried out with the equipment switched off
and unplugged.
Tighten all nuts and screws to make sure the
 
hedge trimmer is in usage conditions.
For safety reasons, always replace damaged
 
or worn parts using original TRAPP parts.
Check and control the status of the power
 
supply cord; never mend the cord with
insulation tape.

Carefully remove debris from the air intakes
 
and cutting blades using a brush.
Never use a water jet to clean the trimmer,
 
wipe the plastic cover with a sponge or damp
cloth and neutral detergent.
For easier operation and longer life, lubricate
 
the blades before each use. Use biodegradable
lubricant to avoid
vegetation where the pruning will take place.
Make sure the blade protector is in place
 
before transportation or storage.
If blades wear out or get damaged, take your
 
hedge trimmer to the nearest TRAPP technical
assistance shop for maintenance.
