ThisoptionallowsyoutousetheDTC500asanormal
digitalcamera.Aswithanycommondigitalyoucanview
imagesandscenesonthedisplayandcapturetheim-
agesandmakerecordings.Selectthemenuitem"Manual
Release"inthemenu.BypressingtheOKbuttonorthe
therightarrowkeyyouselectautomaticallythecamera
mode.YoucanswitchbetweenCameraandVideomode
usingtheleftandrightarrowkey.PresstheMenubutton
toreturntotheMainmenu.

Camera

YouwillseethefollowingdisplayedontheLCDscreen:
inthetopleftthebatterystatussymbolappears,inthe
toprightthecamerasymbolappears,inthebottomright
thenumberofimages[0/00]appears.PresstheOKbut-
tontoshootanimagemanuallyincameramode.
Video
IfyouwanttochangeovertoVideomode,pressthe
leftarrowkey.
YouwillseethefollowingdisplayedontheLCDscreen:
inthetoprightthevideosymbolappears,inthebot-
tomrighttherecordingtimeisdisplayedin[00:00].To
activateVideomodepresstheOKbutton.PresstheOK
buttonagaintodisplayastillframe.Pressthebutton
oncemoretocontinueplayingthevideorecording.
Day and Night mode
InyourDTC500thecolormodeisactivatedasdefault
setting.Photosorvideoclipsaredisplayedincolor.Se-
lecttheitem"ManualRelease"intheMenuandusethe
UpandDownkeystoactivatetheDayorNightmode.
PressthebottomarrowkeytoenterInfraredNight
Mode.Thesettingchangesfrom"DaytimeColorMode"
to"IRNightMode"andtheimageintheLCDscreen
changesfromcolortoblackandwhite.All30LEDsof
theDTC500lightupredinthe"IRNightMode".In
thesettingsmakeaselectionbetweenphotoorvideo
aswellasdayornightmode.PresstheOKbuttonto
storeyoursetting.PresstheMenubuttontoreturnto
theStartmenu.

Playback photo/video

Gotomenuitem"PlaybackPhoto/Video"inthemenu
andpresstherightarrowkeyorOKbutton.Togetan
overviewofthestoredrecordingspressthebottomar-
rowkey.TheLCDscreendisplaysuptofourimages.
