7.2 Music control

For music-controlled run of the light show, it is pos-
sible to select three music modes, Sound 1 to
Sound 3:
Sound 1: music-controlled white light flashes
Sound 2 and Sound 3: music-controlled start of
programs
Note: The music modes correspond to the three music
modes which can be activated in case of DMX control
(
chapter 8.4, table 7).
1) Press the button MENU / ESC repeatedly until
the main menu is reached.
2) Select the option
button UP or DOWN.
3) Press the button ENTER: The last music mode
adjusted (

from the three modes with the button UP or
DOWN.
4) Turn up clockwise the control SENSITIVITY (6)
for the sensitivity of the microphone MIC (5) so
that the light effect panel responds to the music
as desired. When changing the volume at the
music system, also the sensitivity of the micro-
phone must be adapted accordingly. If the music
control should not function in an optimum way
in spite of the control completely turned up,
increase the volume or reduce the distance
between the sound source and the panel.
7.3 Colour floodlight mode
For a constant lighting of the light effect panel in
one colour it is possible to select nine preset
colours and a colour to be adjusted individually:
1) Press the button MENU / ESC repeatedly until
the main menu is reached.
2) Select the option
button UP or DOWN.
3) Press the button ENTER: The last colour mode
adjusted (one of the preset colours

Individual colour adjustment
In the colour mode "ATF" the brightness of the
primary colours red, green and blue can sepa-
rately be adjusted and thus the desired shade of
colour can be mixed:

c) Adjust the desired brightness with the button
UP or DOWN.
d) Exit the menu item with the button MENU /
ESC. Now the next primary colour can be
selected and adjusted.
Hint: When adjusting the primary colours, not only their
brightness changes but also the shade of colour in case
the colours are mixed. Therefore, first adjust the colour
which is to dominate to the desired brightness and then
add the other two colours. If the intended colour mixture
is white, first adjust the brightness of the green colour
because this appears to be the brightest colour to the
human eye. Then add red to get yellow and finally add
blue to get white.

7.4 Master / slave mode

Several units RGBL-212DMX may be operated in
sync. Then the first unit (master unit) controls the
remaining units (slave units). Connect the units
with each other in a chain. For this purpose see
chapter 8.1, however, skip step 1.
Adjust the master unit (the first unit of the chain
of which the control input is not connected) to auto-
matic mode, music control or colour floodlight
mode (

8 DMX Control

DMX is short for Digital Multiplex and allows the
digital control of several DMX units via a common
control line. For operation via a DMX light controller
(e. g. DMX-1440 or DMX-510USB from "img Stage
Line") the light effect panel is equipped with 26
DMX control channels. However, it can also be
controlled via 3, 5, 8, 14 or 24 channels only. The
functions of the channels and the corresponding
DMX values can be found in chapter 8.4.
