2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled
personnel.
G
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the plug.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
water or chemicals. For cleaning the lenses (2), a
standard glass cleaner may be used.
G
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the unit is used for
other purposes than originally intended, if it is not
safely installed, if it is not correctly connected or
operated, or if it is not repaired in an expert way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.

Applications
The show laser unit LSE-4LRG projects a variety of
red and green laser spot patterns combined with
colour LED light beams and white stroboscope
flashes onto a surface or into artificial fog. The LSE-
4LRG can be used on stage and in discotheques,
for example.
The LSE-4LRG is designed for control via a
DMX light controller (9 DMX control channels), but
it can also be operated on its own, running auto-
matic or music-controlled light show programs. In
addition, multiple LSE-4LRG can be connected
(master / slave mode) to create synchronous light
effects.

Installation
The show laser unit must be installed safely and in
an expert manner. The person who sets up the unit
together with all additional components (e.g. mir-
rors, lenses, projection surface) to create a laser
effect installation is the manufacturer of this instal-
lation from a legal point of view. Make absolutely
sure to observe the warning notes in chap-
ter 2.1.
WARNING 1. Since different safety regulations
apply in each country, make sure
to observe the regulations of the
country in which the unit is oper-
ated!
2. When installing the unit at a place where peo-
ple may walk or sit under it, additionally secure
the unit, e. g. by means of a safety rope. Lead
the safety rope through the safety lug (18) and
fasten it in such a way that the maximum falling
distance of the unit will not exceed 20 cm.
3. Please note that fast changes in lighting may
trigger epileptic seizures with photosensitive
persons or persons with epilepsy!
4. Never operate the unit unattended. Prior to
leaving the unit, switch off the laser beams by
means of the key switch LOCK (13).
1) Use the mounting bracket (4) to fasten the unit
at a suitable location, e. g. by means of a stable
mounting screw or a support for lighting units
(C hook) on a crossbar.
2) To align the unit, loosen the two setscrews (12)
on the mounting bracket. Tilt the unit as desired
and then firmly retighten the setscrews.
3) An emergency stop switch which allows to
switch off the laser beams from a remote loca-
tion can be connected to the jack REMOTE
(17).
Switch closed = laser off
Switch open = laser on
4) For power supply, connect the mains jack (15)
to a mains socket (230 V~ / 50 Hz) using the
mains cable provided. This will switch on the
unit.
5) To switch on the laser beams, insert the key pro-
vided into the lock (13) and then turn the key to
the right.
Hints
— To create fantastic, three-dimensional light
effects, project the laser beams through artificial
fog. A variety of fog machines can be found in
the "img Stage Line" product range.
— If multiple LSE-4LRG are used, the jack
POWER OUT (16) of the first unit can be con-
nected to the mains jack (15) of the second unit.
For this, a mains cable with 3-pin IEC plug and
3-pin IEC inline jack (e. g. the cable AAC-170 /
SW from the MONACOR product range) is
required. The second unit may then be con-
nected to a third unit etc. until all units are con-
nected in a chain. Thus, a maximum of 40 units
can be connected.
The jack POWER OUT may also be used to
provide power to other (light effect) units. How-
ever, the current load of the main jacks (15, 16)
must not exceed 6.3 A. Otherwise, a short cir-
cuit and fire may occur due to overload. The
fuse (14) will not protect these jacks.
