Huelgo angular del husillo (fig. 23)
Mueva el husillo hasta la posición descendente más baja y man-
téngalo en esa posición. Con la otra mano, intente hacer que gire
alrededor de su eje con un movimiento lateral. Si hay demasiado
huelgo, haga lo siguiente:
1. Afloje la tuerca de fijación (1).
2. Gire el tornillo (2) en el sentido de las agujas del reloj para
eliminar el huelgo, pero sin obstruir el movimiento ascendente
y descendente del husillo (un poco de huelgo es normal).
3. Apriete la tuerca de fijación (2).
Instale las brocas taladradoras (fig. 24)
1. Coloque la llave del mandril (1) en el agujero de bocallave
lateral del mandril (2), engranando los dientes de engranaje
(3).
2. Gire la llave del mandril en sentido contrario al de las agujas
del reloj para abrir las mandíbulas del mandril (4).
3. Inserte una broca taladradora en el mandril lo bastante
profundamente como para obtener el máximo agarre de las
mandíbulas del mandril.
4. Centre la broca taladradora en las mandíbulas del mandril
antes de realizar el apriete final del mandril.
5. Utilice la llave del mandril para realizar el apriete final, con
el fin de asegurarse de que la broca taladradora no resbale
durante la operación de taladrado.
¡Advertencia! Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones, utilice
únicamente la llave del mandril suministrada con este
taladro de columna o un duplicado de la misma.
Esta llave de mandril es autoeyectante y "saltará" fuera del mandril
cuando usted la suelte. Esta acción está diseñada para ayudar a
evitar que la llave salga despedida del mandril al encender la herra-
mienta. No utilice ninguna otra llave como sustituta; ordene una llave
nueva si la llave está dañada o se ha perdido.
¡Advertencia! Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones, asegú-
rese de que la llave del mandril se haya retirado del
mandril antes de comenzar cualquier operación de
taladrado.
¡Advertencia! ¡No mire directamente al rayo láser! Podría
haber un peligro si usted mira deliberadamente hacia el
rayo. Sírvase cumplir con todas las normas de seguridad
que se indican a continuación:
•
El láser se utilizará y se mantendrá de acuerdo con las
instrucciones del fabricante.
•
No apunte nunca el rayo hacia una persona o hacia un objeto
que no sea la pieza de trabajo.
•
No proyecte el rayo láser hacia los ojos de otras personas.
•
Asegúrese siempre de que el rayo láser esté apuntado hacia
una pieza de trabajo sin superficies reflectantes, ya que el
rayo laser podría ser proyectado hacia sus ojos o hacia los
ojos de otras personas.
Interruptor del láser (fig. 25)
El interruptor del láser (1) está ubicado en el lado izquierdo de la
carcasa del taladro de columna.
Ajuste la línea del láser (fig. 25 y 26)
1. Coloque una pieza de trabajo sobre la mesa.
2. Ponga el interruptor del láser (1) en la posición de encendido.
3. Baje la broca taladradora hasta que entre en contacto con la
pieza de trabajo (2). Las dos líneas del láser se deben cruzar
donde la broca entre en contacto con la pieza de trabajo.
4. Si es necesario ajustar el láser:
a. Utilizando una llave hexagonal de 3 mm, gire los tornillos
de cabeza hexagonal de ajuste del láser (3) en sentido
contrario al de las agujas del reloj.
b. Mueva la carcasa de la luz láser (4) hasta que las dos líneas
se intersecten donde la broca entre en contacto con la pieza de
trabajo. No mire directamente hacia las líneas del láser.
5. Reapriete los tornillos de cabeza hexagonal de ajuste (3)

Angular play of the spindle (fig. 23)
Move the spindle to the lowest downward position and hold in place.
With your other hand, try to make it revolve around its axis with a
side motion. If there is too much play proceed as follows:
1. Loosen the lock nut (1).
2. Turn the screw (2) clockwise to eliminate the play but without
obstructing the upward and downward motion of the spindle (a
little bit of play is normal).
3. Tighten the lock nut (2).
Install drill bits (fig. 24)
1. Place the chuck key (1) into the side keyhole of the chuck (2),
meshing the gear teeth (3).
2. Turn the chuck key counterclockwise to open the chuck jaws
(4).
3. Insert a drill bit into the chuck far enough to obtain maximum
gripping of the chuck jaws.
4. Center the drill bit in the chuck jaws before final tightening of
the chuck.
5. Use the chuck key for the final tightening to make sure the drill
bit will not slip while drilling.
To reduce the risk of injury, only use the chuck key
provided with this drill press or a duplicate of it. This
chuck key is selfejecting and will ìpopî out of the chuck when you let
go.This action is designed to help prevent throwing of the chuck key
from the chuck when power is turned ìONî. Do not use any other key
as a substitute; order a new one if damaged or lost.
To reduce the risk of injury, make sure the chuck key is
removed from the chuck before starting any drilling
operation.
Do not stare directly at the laser beam! A hazard may
exist if you deliberately stare into the beam. Please
observe all safety rules as follows:
•
The laser shall be used and maintained in accordance with
the manufacturer's instructions.
•
Never aim the beam at any person or an object other than the
workpiece.
•
Do not project the laser beam into the eyes of others.
•
Always ensure the laser beam is aimed at a workpiece with
out reflective surfaces as the laser beam could be projected
into your eyes or the eyes of others.
Laser switch (fig. 25)
The laser switch (1) is located on the left side of the drill press
housing.
Adjust the laser line (fig. 25 and 26)
1. Place a workpiece on the table.
2. Turn the laser switch (1) to the on position.
3. Lower the drill bit to meet the workpiece (2). The two laser
lines should cross where the drill meets the workpiece.
4. If the laser needs to be adjusted:
a. Using a 3 mm hex wrench, turn the laser adjustment hex
screws (3) counterclockwise.
b. Move the laser light housing (4) until the two lines intersect
where the drill meets the workpiece. Do not stare directly at
the laser lines.
5. Re-tighten the adjustment hex screws (3).
