8 Seat Back Position and Carriage Position
The seat can be adjusted to any position from upright to fully reclined. Use carriage (flat) position for babies from birth to 3 months (foot
enclosure must be installed). Use fully upright seat position for children 6 months and above ONLY. Use other reclined seat positions for
children 3 months and above ONLY.
• Locate the recline mechanism on the back of the seat.
• To recline the seat, grasp the recline mechanism, squeeze on both sides, and gently pull toward the rear of the stroller until the seat is in
the desired position. See Figure 8.1.
• If seat is fully reclined, secure the Velcro® on BOTH sides of the seat to the Velcro® on the inside of the canopy apron. See Figure 8.2.
• To adjust the seat to a more upright position, first detach the canopy apron from the seat if it is attached. Then pull both straps at the end
of the recline mechanism outward until the seat is in the desired position. See Figure 8.3. If the canopy apron is attached, detach the
apron from the seat.
NOTE: To get the seat in it most upright position you may need to push the seat toward the front of the stroller before pulling the straps.
• If the seat is upright, to allow for more headspace for your child, flip over the fabric at the top of the seat so that it tucks under. See Figure
8.4.
To Use the Carriage (Flat) Position for Infants from Birth to 3 Months
• Fully recline the seat. Secure the Velcro® on BOTH sides of the seat to the Velcro® on the inside of the canopy apron. See Figure 8.2.
• Adjust the leg support to the uppermost position.
• Locate the foot enclosure in the pocket beneath the leg support. Attach the foot enclosure over the leg support by securing the loop
around the peg on BOTH sides of the stroller. See Figure 8.5.
• When not in use, store the foot enclosure in the pocket beneath the leg support.
Never use in reclined carriage position unless the foot enclosure is properly attached.
9 Securing the Child
There are three height adjustment positions for the shoulder harness. Adjust the height to the closest height above your child's shoulders.
• To remove the shoulder harness, turn the plastic ends sideways and push them through the slots in the seatback. Reattach the harness at
the proper height by reinserting the plastic ends through the slots. See Figure 9.1. Ensure both straps are the same height.
• To unlatch the buckle, press the center button and remove the male ends of each buckle. See Figure 9.2.
• Carefully place the child in the seat with the shoulder straps over their shoulders and chest. Then place the crotch strap between the
child's legs.
• Push the shoulder/waist latch posts into the crotch buckle until all parts snap into place. See Figure 9.3.
• Tighten the waist belt to be snug around the child's waist.
• Adjust the shoulder, waist, and crotch straps to a snug fit by sliding the adjustment ring on the harness.
Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the restraint system.
