Connecting the RT100 to the electrical power
➤ Guide the connection cable down and out.
➤ Align the rain gutter in a centred fashion using the two inclined surfaces at the
sides and then press them into the wall of the vehicle.
➤ Press the adhesive surface firmly and at the same time along the entire rain gutter.

➤ Guide the connecting cable through the existing borehole (1) above the upper
guide rail (2) into the vehicle.

➤ Place the connecting cable in the gap above the upper guide rail.
➤ Seal the gap and borehole carefully with sealant so that no water can enter the
vehicle.

WARNING!

Only a qualified electrician should connect the lighting to the electri-
cal power.
•
Establish all connections according to the applicable electrical
guidelines.

NOTE
•
If present, use a connection that is switched off when the motor is
running.
•
If not, insert a lockout switch in the electrical circuit in order to ensure
that no current is transferred to the lighting when the ignition is acti-
vated. Otherwise, the lighting could be switched on during travel.
The lockout switch can be executed via a break contact relay which
is connected to the D+ signal (1).
➤ Connect the lighting with correct polarity to a 12 Vg supply (rt = red,
sw = black).
