the device and wait for it to come to a comple-
te stop before you set it down.
Check that the mains power supply voltage is
the same as that specified on the rating plate.
Connect the electric tool to the mains pow-
er supply (230V~) via a socket-outlet with
earthing contact with maximum 16A protec-
tion. We recommend that you fit a residual-
current protection device with a maximum
nominal tripping current of 30 mA. Seek the
advice of your electrician.
Make sure that no moving tool parts come
into contact with the voltage.
Always guide the power cable away from the
back of the tool.
Protect the diamond cutting wheels from im-
pacts, jolts and grease.
The device may only be used for dry cutting
in masonry walls.
Important! The diamond cutting wheels be-
come very hot during use; never touch them
before they have cooled down again.
Keep your hands clear of the rotating dia-
mond cutting wheels at all times.
If the diamond cutting wheels are blocked the
device will respond by jolting. Switch off the
device immediately if this should happen.
If the device comes into contact with live
cables, metal parts on or in the device may
become live and cause an electric shock. It
is therefore important that you only ever hold
the device on the insulated handles.
Before starting to cut grooves in load-bearing
walls you should always seek the advice of
the responsible statics engineer, architect or
site engineer.
Use a cable/pipe detector to check for conce-
aled electric cables and gas and water pipes
in the wall.
Important! For health safety reasons it is
imperative that you use a vacuum extractor
unit. The extractor socket is suitable for use
on vacuum extractor units (vacuum cleaners).
The extractor unit must be suitable for the ext-
raction of fine dust.
Special safety instructions

machine is operating.
Do not use the machine with abrasive wheels
or circular saw blades.
Protect the disk cutter from shocks and blows.

Before you start work, inspect the disk cutter
for signs of damage. Do not use any bent,
torn or otherwise damaged disk cutters.
Make sure that the workpiece has been ca-
refully positioned and clamped. Keep your
hands away from the area you wish to machi-
ne.
Only hold the jointer by its handle.
Make sure that you can screw the disk cutter
on to the drive spindle with an adequate num-
ber of turns.
Make sure that the disk cutter is absolutely
secure. Do not use any washers or other
equipment to improve its position when you fit
the disk cutter.
Only move the disk cutter against the workpi-
ece with the machine switched on.
Always hold and guide the machine with two
hands when working and make sure that you
have a firm standing position.
People under the age of 16 must not use the
machine.
Wear safety goggles and ear guards when
using the machine. If necessary wear an
apron and a helmet.
You must disconnect the plug from the mains
supply before starting any work on the machi-
ne. Only connect the plug to the mains supply
with the machine switched off.
Keep the connection lead away from where
you are working; always put it to your rear.
Do not slow down the disk cutter with your
hand after you have switched off the machine.
The machine must not be operated with the
disk cutter exposed
Plug-in tools must be designed at least for the
speed range specified on the electric power
tool. Disk cutters or other plug-in tools opera-
ted at overspeed may break apart and cause
serious injury.
