6.3 Cleaning dust bin and filter

If the dust bin can no longer be completely
emptied ( Chapter 6.2, "Emptying the dust
bin module") or if you can no longer remove
dirt on the filter by hand:
1. Take out and empty the dust bin module
as described under
tying the dust bin module".
CAUTION:
Dust bin and filter are washable, but they
are not suitable for cleaning in washing
machines or dishwashers. Also, do not use
detergents or brushes with hard bristles.
2. Thoroughly rinse out the dust bin by hand
under cold running water or lukewarm wa-
ter.
3. Thoroughly rinse out the filter by hand un-
der cold running water or lukewarm water,
until all the dirt is removed.
4. Let both elements dry for at least 24 hours
at room temperature, until they are com-
pletely dry.
5. Insert the filter back into the bin (Fig. 27)
and put the dust bin cover back on
(Fig. 28).
6. Insert the dust bin module back into the
appliance (Fig. 29) and put on the upper
cover (Fig. 25). It will audibly snap into
place.
NOTE:
The appliance will only work if the dust bin
is installed correctly.
