14. Maintenance
In order to carry out maintenance, repairs or cleaning, first disconnect the unit from the
network.
Do not apply excessive force or inadequate tools for maintaining and cleaning the unit. Some
repairs must be done with special tools on some occasions. In these cases, you must contact
the Customer Service of SAGOLA. Any handling of this product by non-authorised personnel
would render the warranty null and void.
The unit must be overhauled on a periodic basis to check the status of its components and
replace these when they are not in perfect condition.
IN ORDER TO OBTAIN THE BEST POSSIBLE RESULTS, ALWAYS USE ORIGINAL SAGOLA SPARES.
ENSURE TOTAL INTERCHANGEABILITY, SAFETY AND OPERATION.
14.1. Filter Replacement
In order to replace these, proceed as follows:
Close the air valve leading to the unit.
Discharge the pressurised air.
With the unit totally de-pressurised, disassemble the unit's deposit.
Disassemble the filter to be replaced, turning it anti-clockwise.
Insert the new filter and tighten it by turning it clockwise. Then assemble the deposit of the unit.
Sintered Bronze Filter, as a general rule, SAGOLA recommends cleaning it with an adequate
thinner or its replacement every six months.
Coalescent Filter, as a general rule, SAGOLA recommends replacing it every six months. In
any event, replace the filter when you observe that the difference between the inlet and outlet
air pressure is 1 Bar maximum.
Active Carbon Filter, as a general rule, SAGOLA recommends its replacement every three months.
15. Cleaning
When work has been completed, both the decanting vessel and the deflectors must be cleaned
with the appropriate thinner, in order to remove any remaining product.
Keep air gasket areas free of accretions and foreign bodies.
Do not use hard or sharp objects.
16. Lubrication
Periodically grease the regulation or fastening threads, friction areas, etc., particularly after
each cleaning session.
We recommend you use a light SAE 10 oil or natural grease or vaseline.
It is important to check that the lubricant used does not contain components that might impair
the spraying quality (Silicones, etc.).
17. Health and Safety
In order to carry out maintenance, repairs or cleaning, first disconnect the unit from the
network.
Never point the tool or unit towards yourself, other personnel or animals. The products or
thinners used can cause serious injury.
