CONTRA-ROTATING TILLER
The rotary tiller is used to break the surface layer of the ground in order to increase its permeability
and at the same time to get rid of weeds. This tiller is ideal for hard soil where a traditional walking
tractor would be ineffective. Tiller and wheels move in the opposite direction to each other, allowing
the walking tractor to perfectly adhere to the ground and till the soil more powerfully. Allow the
walking tractor to move forwards under its own power to obtain optimum results. Tilling depth can
be adjusted by raising or lowering the central rear skid (fig. 9). On very demanding soil, this skid
can be removed altogether to increase the tilling depth. It is recommended to till very hard soil a
couple of times, raising the central rear skid little by little to allow the tiller to dig deeply into the
ground. Soft soil can be tilled to the required depth from the beginning. If the walking tractor does
not move forward properly, lower the rear skid to allow the machine to "flow" and steer the machine
without pushing on the handlebar.
