WARNING
It's important to read and understand these instruc-
tions fully before using tool. Failure to follow these
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious personal injury.

WORk AREA
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Accidents may
result from cluttered benches and dark areas. Do not
operate power tool in explosive atmospheres, such as
in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or heavy
thick dust. Power tools create sparks, which may
ignite such substances. Keep bystanders, children and
visitors away while operating tool. Such distractions
can cause loss of control.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• This power tool is equipped with a polarized plug that
will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug and
try again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician to install a polarized outlet. Do not attempt
to change the plug in any way.
• Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as
pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. The risk of
electric shock increases from body contact with such
grounded surfaces.
• Don't expose power tool to rain or wet conditions.
Water also increases the risk of electric shock.
• Do not abuse the cord, such by using it to carry the
power tool or pulling on it to remove the plug from
the outlet. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp
edges or moving parts. Immediately replace cord if
damaged to avoid risk of electric shock.
PERSONAL SAFETY
• Stay alert and use common sense when operating
power tool. Do not use tool if tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Operating
power tools under such conditions may result in
serious injury.
• Dress properly, do not wear loose clothing or jewelry.
Avoid getting clothing, jewelry and gloves caught in
moving parts.

• Avoid accidental starting by making sure switch is
turned OFF before plugging cord in to the outlet. Do
not carry tool while finger is on the ON/OFF switch or
when tool is plugged in.
• Remove adjusting keys or wrenches before turning
the tool ON. A wrench or key that is left attached to a
rotating tool part may result in personal injury.
• Do not overreach while handling tool. Keep proper
footing and balance at all times to maintain proper
control in unexpected situations.
• Use recommended safety equipment at all times
during use.
WARNING: Some dust created by power sanding,
sawing, grinding, drilling and other construction
activities contains chemicals known to the State of
California to cause cancer, birth defects or other
reproductive harm.
TOOL USE AND CARE
• Use clamps or another practical alternative to secure
and support the workpiece to a stable platform.
Holding the work by hand or against the body is
unstable and may lead to loss of control.
• Do not force tool by using it for unacceptable applica-
tions. The correct tool will do a better and safer job at
the rate it was designed.
• Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn ON
or OFF. Any tool that cannot be controlled with
the switch is dangerous and must be repaired or
replaced.
• Disconnect the plug from the power source before
making any adjustments, changing accessories or
storing the tool. Such preventive safety measures
reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally.
• STORE IDLE TOOLS OUT OF REACH FROM
CHILDREN and other untrained persons. Power tools
are dangerous in the hands of the unfamiliar.
• Maintain tools with care, keeping cutting tools sharp
and clean. Properly maintained tools with sharp
cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to
control.
• Check for misalignment, binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts or anyother condition that may
affect the operation of the tool. If damaged, have the
tool serviced before using.
IMPORTANT: POORLY MAINTAINED TOOLS CAN
CAUSE ACCIDENTS.
