THE PROGRAMMES
MAIN-MEAL SOUP (9)
Preheat
The "main-meal soup" programme (9) is perfect for
soup containing larger pieces. This programme is
designed to ensure that the ingredients are heated
for longer so that everything is properly cooked.
The programme takes about 28 minutes before
the soup is ready to serve. For thick soup there is
no blending process, only heating. It is therefore
recommended that all vegetables are cut into small
cubes. If your soup is a little too thick after cooking,
select the blending function to achieve the desired
thickness.
CREAM SOUP (10)
Heating + blending
The "cream soup" programme (10) is perfect
for delicious soup recipes that require a smooth
composition, such as tomato soup or cream of
broccoli soup. The programme ensures that the
ingredients are blended to achieve the right
thicknesses and gently cooked at the right
temperature. The programme takes 21 minutes,
after which the soup is ready to be served.
This function can also be used for hot sauces.
CONSOMMÉ (11)
Heating + extra blending
The "consommé" programme (11) takes 30 minutes
before the soup is ready to eat.
JAM/COMPOTE (12)
Heating + blending
The 'Jam/Compote' programme (12) is perfect
for making apple sauce, jam and compote.
The programme takes 25 minutes.
JUICING/BLENDING (13)
Blending
The "Juicing/Blending" programme (13) is ideal
for making smoothies and milkshakes from fresh
ingredients. The programme takes about 2 minutes
before the smoothie or milkshake is ready to serve.
This programme does not heat the ingredients, so it
is perfect for ice-cold drinks during hot weather.
This function can also be used to make cold sauces.
Note: do not place ice cubes in the Soupmaker.
PULSE (14)
Blending or cleaning
With the "pulse" function (14) you can continue
to blend the soup to the desired thickness. This
function works without further heating of the
soup. You can also use this function to clean your
Soupmaker. To use this function after cooking, you
have to unplug your Soupmaker and then plug it
back in. This resets the Soupmaker so that you can
select the Overflow setting with the Menu button.
Press and hold the Power button (8) to mix the
contents of the jug (5). Warning: This function is not
suitable for raw meat. Do not blend dry ingredients.
You must add liquid before blending ingredients.
Do not use the Pulse function (14) for more than
20 seconds at a time. Wait until the appliance has
cooled off before continuing.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
MEMORY FUNCTION
The Soupmaker has a 2-minute memory function
for the following programmes: main-meal soup (9),
cream soup (10) and compote (12). The memory
function is activated if you forget to add an
ingredient to the soup. If you open the lid (2) and
then close the lid (2), the Soupmaker will continue
with the programme that was previously running.
CANCEL FUNCTION
If you have chosen the wrong programme and want
to stop it, there is no need to open the lid (2), but
instead press the Power button (8) for 3 seconds.
This will cancel the programme.
