We have prepared these simplified installation instructions to help you install the system quickly in offline mode. For more information, please
read carefully the detailed offline installation guide, which you download at www.somfy.com.
Prior to installation you must update the central unit in the workshop (see next page).

How does the alarm
system work?
Activation
The Home Keeper LCD keypad, remote
controls and badge are used to control your
alarm system.
Intrusion detection
The movement detector
movement in the room. The opening detector
detects when a door or window is opened.
Deterring, Alerting, Signalling
If an intrusion is detected, the
central unit/phone dialer
analyses the information sent by
the detectors, triggers the siren
and sends an SMS message.
The indoor siren and outdoor
siren with flash emit an audible
alarm

A few installation guidelines
to optimise the radio range
The correct propagation of radio waves depends on the nature of the
material through which they pass. The range of the waves will vary
depending on the type of construction:

When a radio wave is unable to pass through a material, it is reflected.
This impairs reception, in particular at the central unit/phone dialer. It
is often enough to move the central unit by just a few centimetres in
order to avoid a zone with no coverage.
Place the central unit/phone dialer in a clear area in the centre of the
home, not close to a fuse board, any large metal object or source of
radio interference (such as a TV with surround HiFi).
Fix all the devices at least 60 cm above the floor.
Fix the siren to a clear area that is as high as possible.
For all the devices, choose a wall space with a good surface condition
in order to ensure the efficiency of the tamper switches (protection
against vandalism).
