Starting the charging process
Note the front cover – Illustrations 2 and 5.
When the charging cable is connected to the infrastructure
and the electric vehicle, you can start charging. Refer also to
the documentation for your electric vehicle.
The self-test function of the device checks all important
parameters at power up and allows charging only when all
test criteria are met.
In the event of a temporary power failure, the charging
process continues automatically after the voltage has been
restored.
Completing the charging process

Note for plugs / couplings type GB
and type 1:
Press the release button of the charging
connector to unplug.

Do not detach the plug while the charging process is still
active.
f Finish charging process of your vehicle first.
Refer to the documentation for your electric vehicle. Attach
the factory installed protective cap after use. Roll up the
charging cable without kinks and stow it properly in your
vehicle.

Resetting fault messages:
f Disconnect the charging cable from the power supply by
pulling the plug from the wall socket.
f Reconnect the device after 10 seconds.

Fault caused by excess temperature:
f Store the device in a place with a suitable ambient
temperature before charging.
Note the type label on the housing.
Faults indicating damage to the charging cable

are not reset.
These faults include:
„ Critical faults
„ Internal fault – temperature sensor defective
„ Internal fault – RCD test negative
A specialist must check a damaged device and replace it
if necessary. In case of repair, please contact the dealer /
manufacturer.
