First Use of the Machine

• Clean the machine before using it for the first time as described below under
"Cleaning".
• Place the machine on a suitable working surface.
• Open the cutting board and place the cutting carriage on in such a way that the
hook on its underside is lying in the groove of the running rail.
Handling
1. Set the cutting strength.
2. Place the food to be cut on the carriage and press it slightly in the direction of
the knife using the press.
3. Insert the power plug into a 230V, 50 Hz safety-contact power socket which has
been correctly installed.
4. Press the safety switch (on top) first and keep it pressed.
5. Now press the On/Off switch (on the front of the device). Keep it in this position.
The blade turns only as long as you keep both buttons pressed.
6. Apply slight pressure to the carriage so that it runs smoothly backwards and for-
wards.
7. A tip: If you would like to produce particularly thin slices, moisten the knife with
a damp cloth so as to prevent the food being cut from sticking to the knife.
Safety switch: With this switch you can block the food slicer. A screw is located
inside the button. If you turn the button to a vertical position (direction „block"), the
device can not be turned on any more. In order to release the blocking please turn
the screw in a horizontal position again (clockwise). For this you can use a coin.
Press: This should be placed on the carriage in order to press the material to be cut.

IMPORTANT:

Do not use the machine for more than 5 minutes without interruption.
Turning off: Release both switches.
Integrated tray: Your food slicer includes an integrated tray. You will find this under
the cutting board. In order to withdraw the tray pull it out by the handle towards the
front.
• Disconnect the machine from the mains.
• Clean the machine after use with a slightly damp cloth. Then wipe dry.
• The carriage and press can be cleaned in soapy water.
• The knife can be removed as follows for easy cleaning:
• Turn the blade lock through 90° to the left and remove the knife carefully with a
glove. Do not clean the blade in soapy water, as otherwise lubricants will be
removed. Wipe off only the outside edge with a cloth. Insert the knife in reverse
order.
