Packing the apparatus:
Close the parts of the plastic case and secure them with ad-
hesive tape and a new seal.
Check that the seal is correctly applied and is undamaged.
After replacement of the filter, the useful life of the escape filter
apparatus is extended to the date shown on the new filter. The to-
tal operational lifetime of the escape filter apparatus is 12 years.
Note the expiry date of the filter and the dates of manufacture on
all plastic and rubber parts.
If the upper part is heavily scratched or damaged by chemical
exposure and the expiry date is no longer legible, the upper
part must be replaced.
Storage
Store the escape filter in its packaging in a cool, dry place. The
storage temperature should be between -10 °C and +55 °C, at a
relative humidity of 20 % to 70 %.
Avoid direct sunlight.
The shelf life can be reduced if the escape filter is stored in other
conditions.
Disposal
Dispose of the escape filter as hazardous waste corresponding
to the respective valid local waste disposal regulations.
