ECONOMY IRONING
For more efficient use and lower energy consumption, SOLAC recommends the ECO
minimum temperature (ECO •) and medium steam).
ironing mode (
Low-temperature steam-ironing allows you to iron a large number of garments
without raising the ironing temperature, thus saving energy.
DRY IRONING
To dry iron, press the activated steam button (8) or (9) again. The steam pilot light will turn
off .
SUPERSTEAM IRONING
STEAM
SUPERSTEAM
Fig. 1
Suitable temperatures for ironing with SUPERSTEAM
Do not use the supersteam button (3) when the pilot light (10) is off: it may not work
correctly, and may even drip.
Ironing with Supersteam may leave small damp marks on garments: these are
totally harmless and normal.
Use supersteam to remove difficult creases. To do so:
1 Select an ironing temperature (•••) or (MAX).
The SUPERSTEAM pilot light (10) will flash red until it reaches a high enough
temperature to produce SUPERSTEAM (operating temperature (•••)). Now you
can use the SUPERSTEAM button (3).
If the temperature falls below the (•••) temperature, the SUPERSTEAM (10) pilot
light will switch off again.
2 Press the SUPERSTEAM (3) button while the pilot light (10) is on.
To prevent dripping, each time you press the supersteam button leave a 7
second interval before pressing it again.
VERTICAL IRONING
This allows you to remove creases from delicate garments without having to lie them on the
ironing board: jackets, overcoats, curtains, suede garments, etc.
1 Put the garment on a hanger, well away from other garments, people, and so on.
2 Select the temperature level by turning the temperature selector ((7). Set the
temperature control to the (••), (•••) or (MAX) position and put the CVG in a vertical
position
3 Press the steam button to obtain steam during vertical ironing.
At the (••) setting the steam will be moister, whiter, and more visible whereas, at
the (•••) and (MAX) settings the steam is drier and although an equal flow of
steam is produced, it will be less visible.
REFILLING WITH WATER (fig. 2)
If the water in the tank runs out while ironing with the steam function activated, you will hear
a strange noise from the micro-pump. Turn the steam function off and refill the container.
1 Turn the CVG off, hold it in an upright position and fill the tank using a beaker (not
included).
