Using the coffee maker
Plug the coffee maker into the mains and
S
switch it on using the power switch. Ring
lamp 10 lights up faintly = stand by.
Before first use
Operate the coffee maker twice using
S
6 cups of water each time in order to clean
it. You may notice a smell, this is
completely harmless.
In this case, use a diluted vinegar solution
S
(5 cups of water to 1 cup of vinegar) and
then rinse twice with 6 cups of water.
Thermo carafe
Press lid opening button 6 to open the lid
S
for pouring the coffee.
The lid of thermo carafe 7 can be adjusted
to any of three positions or removed
entirely.
Brewing the coffee
Remove reservoir 1, fill with water and
S
reinsert.
Swing out filter holder 3.
S
Insert 1x4 filter paper in filter 5 and fill up
S
with the required amount of ground coffee.
Swing back filter holder 3 and click into
S
place.
Press button 12 and, with its lid closed,
S
place thermo carafe 7 on swivel plate 8,
the swivel plate being in the serving
position.
Move swivel plate 8 into the brewing
S
position under filter holder 3 and click it
into place.
Select the aroma using aroma selection
S
buttons 13
corresponding indicator light lights up for
5 minutes or until brewing has ended and
then goes out. The aroma selected
remains stored. The aroma can also be set
during brewing.

Depending on the amount of coffee

desired, press switch 11 to

lamp 10 lights up. It is possible to interrupt
the brewing process and restart it at any
time by pressing switch 11.
The carafe automatically swivels into the
S
serving position once all of the coffee has
filtered into it after approx. 2 ½ minutes.
Info: The 2 ½ minutes waiting time before the
carafe swivels out automatically was chosen
so that the coffee has sufficient time to filter
through even if the maximum quantity was
used.
It is possible to interrupt the waiting time
prematurely at any time by pressing serving
position button 12.
In the serving position, the carafe can be
removed easily, the filtering plug is closed and
the coffee remains hot for longer.
Leave the coffee maker to cool down for
5 minutes before using again.
Tea can also be prepared in this way. Simply
use tea instead of ground coffee.
Tips for preparing coffee
Keep ground coffee cool, it can also be frozen.
Always seal opened packets of coffee tightly
so that the flavour is retained.
The way in which the coffee beans are roasted
affects the taste and flavour.
Cleaning
Never immerse the coffee maker in water or
put it in the dishwasher.
Do not use a steam cleaner.
Unplug the appliance from the mains.

After each use, clean all parts that have
S
come into contact with the coffee.
Wipe the outside of the coffee maker
S
housing with a damp cloth, do not use any
sharp or abrasive cleaning products.
Clean reservoir 1 with water, do not use
S
any hard brushes.
