Exiting mode setting
Press and hold the MODE button until the display switches off or wait
a few seconds until the appliance switches itself off. The non-contact
infrared thermometer has been specially developed to measure body
temperature. Use the Body mode for this. The measurement range
for this mode is from 32.0 ºC to 42.0 ºC (86.0 ºF – 108.0 ºF).
The non-contact infrared thermometer can also be used to
measure the temperature of objects, e.g. (baby) food or liquids
(baby's bottles), or other surfaces. Use the Surface mode for this.
The measurement range for this mode is from 0.0 ºC to 60.0 ºC
(32.0 ºF – 140.0 ºF).

The temperature at the surface of the body always dif-
fers from the temperature inside the body. Therefore,
always use Body mode to measure the internal body
temperature.
Also make sure that you have selected Surface mode if you wish
to determine the surface temperature of an object.

Saving of data
The temperature measurement is saved automatically. The value
appears at the top right-hand corner on the LCD display. Press

to read off the last temperature measurement. The
buttons must be pressed simultaneously for 2 seconds with the ap-
pliance switched off in order to view the last temperature measure-
ment. If you set the order to 0 in this setting and then press the MODE
button, all previous temperature measurements will be deleted.
Battery replacement
If the symbol
lights up on the display, this means that the bat-

teries are spent. In this case, proceed as follows: Open the lid of
the battery compartment and replace the spent batteries with
new ones, ensuring that the polarity of the batteries is correct. In-
serting the batteries incorrectly could damage the appliance and
result in any warranty claims being voided. Do not use recharge-
able batteries. Use only high-grade, non-rechargeable batteries.
Lifetime
The non-contact infrared thermometer has been developed to
meet the highest demands in daily and professional use. The
lifetime is around 6 Years.
