5. Precautions to be taken before use

• After moving the appliance to a new location with a consi-
derable temperature difference to the previous location, it is
strongly recommended to allow the non-contact infrared
thermometer to acclimatise for 15 - 20 minutes in the new
surroundings before taking the first measurements. Only in
this way can you ensure that the same stable measurement
results are obtained.
• Temperature deviations may occur due to different types
and thicknesses of skin. The infrared thermometer should
not be exposed to direct sunlight or water. Maintain a pause
of approx. 1 minute between individual measurements. If
you need to measure your temperature more frequently over
a short period of time, the measurement results may fluctu-
ate slightly.
• Do not measure your temperature immediately after eating,
sports training or bathing. Wait at least half an hour.
• The temperature of the human body fluctuates within a
natural range. There is no standard body temperature.
• Measure and note down your body temperature on normal
days. This way you can recognise a raised temperature or fever
more easily.
