After the adjustment
Adapt the torque by means of trial boltings for the spe-
cific bolting action (hard, middle, soft). Check the
torque with an electronic torque measuring instrument
or a torque wrench.
For higher torques, a correspondingly greater
counter force is necessary.
Reversing Rotational Direction
Right rotation: Right/Left rotation button 10
pressed.
Left rotation: Right/Left rotation button 10 pressed.
By turning the right/left rotation button,
the position is locked.
Replacing the Spring (Fig.
For working with low torques (approx. 0.06–0.3 Nm),
the brown spring 18 can be replaced by the green
spring. For higher torques (approx. 0.5–1 Nm), use
the orange spring.
Remove the screw cap 2 from the housing 4 (left-hand
threads!). Screw off the sleeve nut 3.
Remove the housing 4 (left-hand threads!).
Pull out the clutch 14. Insert the Allen key 15 into the
hex head of the clutch shaft and hold the clutch in this
manner. With a 12 mm spanner, unscrew the hex
nut 16.
Remove the detent washer 17. Take care that the
clutch bushing 19 does not slide; it secures four balls
(2 mm dia.).
Take out the installed spring 18 and replace with the
new spring.
Place the detent washer 17 on again so that the nubs
fit into the hex nut 17. Screw on the hex nut 17.
Set the torque.
Begin with low setting values.
Reassemble the machine in the reverse order.
Connection to the Extraction Equipment
After removing the silencer 9, a hose can be connect-
ed to the air outlet that leads away the exhaust air.
Advantages:
–
Noise reduction
–
No contamination of the working area by stirred
up dust
–
Exhaust air led away.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Before performing any work on the machine it-
self, disconnect the air supply.
Keep the machine and the tool holder clean at all
times.
If the machine should happen to fail despite the care
taken in manufacture and testing, repair should be
carried out by an authorised customer services agent
for Bosch pneumatic tools.
For all correspondence and spare parts orders, always
include the 10-digit order number of the machine.
Wash out the gearbox with petroleum after the first
approx. 150 hours of operation and then every 300
hours of operation and lubricate with special gearbox
grease.
Lubricate the moving parts of the clutch after approx.
each 100 000 bolting operations with a few drops of
SAE 10 / SAE 20 motor oil. Grease the sliding and
rolling parts with Molycote grease. Check the clutch
adjustment afterwards.
Any Bosch customer service centre can perform this
work quickly and reliably.
Dispose of lubricants and cleaning agents in an
environmentally correct manner. Observe legal
regulations.
