Switching on
Turn the ON-OFF switch (1) clock-
wise. The rotary switch clicks into
the position„ON" and is now secured
against
being
unintentionally
switched off..
Switching off
Press in the ON-OFF switch (1) to un-
lock it then turn it counter-clockwise.
SELF-TEST AND
TRANSMISSION MODE
(Device in transmission mode)
The
ZOOM+
self-test is displayed on
the screen. First, five pairs of num-
bers appear. These represent the
device serial number. During the self
test, the transmitter, receiver, smart
antenna function, and sensors are
checked and the remaining battery
capacity is displayed as a percent-
age (e.g. "99"). The remaining bat-
tery capacity flashes.
If the remaining capacity is less than
50%, an accustic warning sounds.
TRANSMITTING
Once the self-test has successfully
concluded, the
ZOOM+
will transmit
and the transmission monitoring
light (10) flashes on the screen.

WARNING
If a malfunction or fault is detected
during the self-test, "EE" appears on
the screen.
A warning can be triggered in the
immediate vicinity of a transmitting
avalanche
transceiver,
mobile
phone, wireless appliance, large
metal objects, or particularly strong
magnetic fields.
WHAT THE WARNING "EE" MEANS
If the malfunction warning is dis-
played during the self-test, repeat
the test while outside in interfer-
ence-free surroundings. When doing
so, it is essential to make sure that
no other transmitters are nearby.
Switch off all sources of interference
(mobile phones, wireless devices
etc.) or move them well away. If the
warning is displayed again, the de-
vice must be sent to the ORTOVOX
service department.
SMART ANTENNA
Function is shown on the display for
20 seconds.
In horizontal position the
ZOOM+
transmits on the X-antenna.
In vertical position the
ZOOM+
transmits on the Y-antenna.
People with pacemakers should
wear
theZOOM+
on the right side
of their body. The pacemaker
manufacturer's instructions must
be observed!
