ADVANCED INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
WARRANTY
When you purchase a new ZOOM+,
we grant you a two-year ORTOVOX
warranty from the date of purchase
upon presentation of the completed
warranty card (see instructions for
use, page 45) and dealer invoice.
If you register your ZOOM+, we will
extend the warranty by a further
three years. The total warranty peri-
od after registration is therefore five
years, but no longer than six years
from the date of manufacture.
The number 2017 on the seal in the
battery compartment means, for ex-
ample:
ORTOVOX warranty valid until 2017;
the device was manufactured five
years earlier in 2012. The seal also
acts as a reminder of the recom-
mended device inspection date of
2017.
The number "1.057" can be used to
identify the production batch and the
individual device number of the
ZOOM+. Within the scope of the OR-
TOVOX warranty, faulty parts are re-
paired free of charge or the ava-
lanche transceiver is replaced by a
device of the same design.
Damage caused by improper hand-
ling and natural wear is excluded.
Damage caused battery leakage in-
validates the ORTOVOX warranty.
Batteries are excluded from the war-
ranty.
Any further liability for consequenti-
al damage is expressly excluded.
The provision of warranty services
will neither extend nor re-start the
warranty period.
