3) Final check: The correct fit and proper positioning of the orthosis must
be checked during handover to the patient.
4) Instruct the patient: Explain to the patient how to don the orthosis and
ensure that it is seated correctly. Practice donning and doffing of the
orthosis with the patient.
3.3 Cleaning
Clean the orthosis regularly.
1) Close the hook and loop closures.
2) Recommendation: Use a laundry bag or net.
3) Wash the orthosis in 40 °C warm water with standard mild detergent.
Do not use fabric softener.
4) Allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct heat (e.g. from the sun, an
oven or radiator).
4 Disposal
Dispose of the product in accordance with national regulations.

The manufacturer's warranty applies only if the device has been used
under the conditions and for the purposes described. The manufacturer
recommends that the device be used and maintained according to the
instructions for use.
5.2 CE Conformity
This device meets the requirements of the 93 / 42 / EEC guidelines for
medical devices. This device has been classified as a class I device
according to the classification criteria outlined in appendix IX of the
guidelines. The declaration of conformity was therefore created by Otto
Bock with sole responsibility according to appendix VII of the guidelines.
