Inserting Rechargeable Batteries
CAUTION:
Use only rechargeable batteries and not batteries
which cannot be recharged.
1. Open the battery compartment (7) on the left ear
pad. To do so, turn the plastic frame on which the ear
pad is mounted one short turn anticlockwise.
2. Insert the 2 "AAA" type rechargeable batteries into
the battery compartment of the headphones. Please
ensure that the polarity is correct (see the floor of
the battery compartment)! If the device is not used
for a long period of time, remove the batteries to
avoid the spilling of battery acid.
3. Put the ear cushion back and turn it clockwise until it
locks into place with a "click".
4. Push the ON/OFF switch (9) to the OFF position. Place
the headphones in the charging cradle of the trans-
mitter. The charging contacts (8) of the headphones
must touch the charging contacts (10) of the charg-
ing station.
Installation (headphones not plugged in)
1. Select an appropriate location for the transmitter/
charging station, such as a dry, flat, nonslip surface
where you can insert the headphones without difi-
culty to charge up.
2. Connect the 3.5 mm audio stereo cable to the corre-
sponding output of your radio source, e.g. television
set, CD or DVD player.
NOTE:
If your audio source has two RCA outputs (red and
white), please use an appropriate adapter cable.
3. Connect the free end of the audio stereo cable to the
AUDIO IN socket of your transmitter.
4. Connect the power pack to a properly installed
230 V/50 Hz safety power socket and then connect
the plug cable to the DC 5 V socket of the transmit-
ter.
5. Switch on the transmitter by selecting a channel with
the channel selector (15). The CHG indicator light
(12) briefly flashes alternately red/green and then
lights green. As soon as the transmitter receives a
signal from the audio source, the POWER indicator
light (11) lights up.
CAUTION:
• Only use the supplied power adaptor for this
device. Do not use for other devices.
• Only use power adaptor with 5 V (
adaptors ause damage to the device.
NOTE:
Disconnect from mains power supply during longer
periods of non-use.
Operate transmitter with batteries
Alternatively you can also operate the transmitter with
batteries.
NOTE:
The headphones cannot be charged in this mode.
1. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the
transmitter.
2. Insert 3 type AAA/R03 1.5 V batteries. Pay attention
to the correct polarity (see battery compartment)!
3. Close the battery compartment again.
4. Switch on the transmitter by selecting a channel with
the channel selector (15). The CHG indicator light
(12) briefly flashes alternately red/green and then
lights green. As soon as the transmitter receives a
signal from the audio source, the POWER indicator
light (11) lights up.
If the device is not used for long periods, remove the
batteries to avoid "leakage".
