WaRnInG:
The EMERGENCY RELEASE SYSTEM is for "emergencies only" and should not
be used for routine, everyday removal of the cheekpads, otherwise cheekpad
damage may occur.
WaRnInG:
Rescuers need to have sufficient knowledge and training about this system.
The EMERGENCY RELEASE SYSTEM may not always be an efficient measure
to securely remove cheekpads depending on circumstances of accident or
condition of injured wearers.
To replace cheekpad in helmet, slip the chinstrap through the pad, making sure
it is not twisted. Then slide the rear tab between the shell and headliner of the
helmet, and press the front part of pad towards the shell until the front tab is
locked in place with the receiver on the chin liner. Pull chinstrap through fully
to check possible chinstrap play in the cheekpad. Be sure the strap is flat and
not twisted.

The comfort lining is secured to the helmet by four plastic bosses. To remove
the lining, undo bosses by grasping the lining as close to each boss as possible
and pulling straight up. On the front bosses, be sure to grasp the plastic frame
and not just the fabric. Note the fore & back, top & bottom sides of the lining for
replacement.
The lining is equipped with removable temple pads to offer a bit more room if
desired. To remove pads, open the pocket on each side of the lining and gently
remove pad from the pocket. If you wish to replace them in the pockets, use
double sided tape to fix them in place.
To wash the comfort lining, put them into lukewarm water with small amount of
laundry soap or your own shampoo and wash gently by hand. Be careful not to
fold the plastic support frame, as it may crack and cause discomfort when riding
or prevent proper liner installation. Rinse well with fresh water and wipe off
with a soft cloth. Dry them in the shade at ambient temperature. Do not machine
wash or dry.
