concentration: 0.5 - 1 %)
.
3. Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water.
4. Prepare a disinfection bath consisting of water and Incidin
(temperature: max. 30 °C, concentration: 1.5 %)
5. Place all parts that require disinfecting into the disinfection bath
(duration: 15 minutes).
6. Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water.
7. Allow all parts to dry in the open air or in a drying closet (temperature:

Leak tests

The leak test should be performed with an appropriate test device
(e. g. the Testor or Quaestor series).

.
When testing facepieces sized L or S, place the mask care-
fully on the test heads sized M, since the face seal is not op-
timally sealed at times. Moistening the face seal facilitates
exact donning because the mask can slide better on the test
heads.
(1) Checking leak tightness
1. Moisten the face seal and exhalation valve with water.
2. Mount the facepiece on the test head, use a holder suitable for
®
mask/helmet combinations, if necessary.
or
3. Make sure that the face seal fits tightly onto all parts of the test
head. Inflate the test head, if necessary.
®
111 to the connection
4. Adjust the connector with adapter tightly and produce a negative
pressure of 10 mbar.
The facepiece is considered leak-tight if the pressure drop is less than
1 mbar per minute. If the facepiece is leaky, continue with (2).
(2) Test with sealed exhalation valve
1. Remove exhalation valve.
2. Plug in the exhalation valve test plug.
3. Generate a negative pressure of 10 mbar.
4. If the pressure drop is less than 1 mbar/min, remove the exhalation
valve test plug and insert a new valve disc.
5. Repeat the leak test (1). If the facepiece is leaky, continue with (3).
