7.8 Using the external control unit

Either a RKMultiControl mono- or a RKMultiControl duo-controller can be connected to the
lifting column. The hand switch is not connected with the lifting column but with the controller.
To use the controller and the hand switch, read the corresponding installation instructions for the
RKMultiControl mono or the RKMultiControl duo.
Only use the controllers listed in these instructions.
Otherwise, you may damage the lifting column or the controllers.

7.9 Commissioning the lifting column

Only authorised personnel may commission a drive unit. The
safety regulations and instructions in this installation manual
must be read and obeyed.
Before commissioning, you must check the lifting column
for damage and note the instructions for operating same
(see section Divergent environmental factors must be appro-
ved by RK Rose+Krieger GmbH.). If you cannot detect any
damage, then the lifting column can be used.
7.9.1 Commissioning a lifting column with
integrated controller (Start-Stop)
Test the safe state of lifting column 1.
Plug the hand switch into socket 2.
Plug the mains lead into mains connection 3.
Plug the plug on the end of the mains lead into a
mains socket.
Test by carefully pressing the relevant key on the
hand switch the function for moving the lifting co-
lumn up and down.
Note when raising and lowering the lifting column
that this operates the limit switch and at the same
time switches the lifting movement off in the top and
bottom end positions.
