wheel, applying the necessary amount of pressure for a good dragging
motion and finally replace de cover K (Fig. 7).
10.3 CLEANING AND RECOMMENDATIONS
• To achieve a good clean edging cut, always keep the blades sharp
and free of glue.
• The machine itself should also be kept free of glue build-up and
edging trimmings, to prevent edging jamming.
• The feeder should apply the correct amount of pressure to the surface
of the boards so that these may be conveyed. Excessive pressure leads
to premature deterioration of the feeder belt.
• We recommend keeping the surfaces of gluing roller H2 (Fig. 10)
and of the feeder belt clean and free of glue build-up and particles of
material, in order to achieve a correct board conveying and a perfect
result when gluing.
• To keep the cutters and blades clean, we recommend the use of our
CANTSPRAY (a silicone-free non-stick spray).
• When using short pieces of wood, do not push with your hands. Use
a pushing device.
10.4 CLEANING OF THE TAPE GUIDE
Cleaning the tape guide J4 (Figs. 29 and 29.2)
If you need to clean the tape guide J4 (Fig. 29.2), remove the screw
K4 (Fig. 29) using the service key. First, pull the tape guide J4 (Fig. 29)
until it releases the stops. Then slide to the right the guide J4 (Fig.
29.2) and pull outwards (Fig. 29.2). Clean the guide and proceed to
assemble it in reverse.
To clean the glue residue is recommended our spray cleaner NETSPRAY.
11. BANDING HONEYCOMB PANELS AND 3D AND GLASS
EFFECT TAPES
Honeycomb pattern panels. (Fig. 35)
To work directly with this type of panels is very important to reduce
as much as possible feeder and copiers pressure. To do this proceed
as follows:
- Reduce feeder pressure (see instructions feeder adjustment).
Place the feeder between 1/2 to 1 turn over the requested thickness.
That is, if the board is 19 mm, leaves the feeder between 20 and 21
mm. Keep in mind that the feeding belt must always press the board.
- Reduce trimming unit pressure (see instructions trimming unit setting,
adjusting upper bit).
Place the digital counter 0.5 and 0.8 mm above the measurement
of the board. That is, if the board is 19 mm, the counter should read
between 19.5 and 19.8.
Keep in mind that the copiers should always be below the panel thic-
kness. Otherwise they would not copy the panel and the work would
not be carried out successfully .
Also take care to use glues with high coefficient of viscosity, since this
type of glues facilitate this type of banding.
3D and glass effect tapes (Fig. 36)
To band this kind of tapes, the machine incorporates a polymerisation
treatment on roller glue applicator, which applies the minimum possible
amount of glue.
Also should be noted that this type of tapes are particularly sensitive
to heat and for this reason should be used low melt glues, maximum
140° C (284 F).
And last but not least you must use the silicone feeding roller instead
of the existing one as indicated in section 8 fitting the feeding roller.
12. NOISE LEVELS
The measured noise level values are emission levels and do not necessarily
reflect a safe working level. Factors influencing the real noise expo-
sure level experienced by the operator include the exposure duration,
characteristics of the location, other sources of emission, such as the
number of machines installed, etc.
The noise from this machine has been measured according to regulation
UNE-EN ISO3746 (1996). Noise measurements were taken during the
14
trimming and end cutting process, with a 3 mm edge. The noise level
at the work station may exceed 85 dB(A). In this case, the machine
operator should take protective measures against noise.
Other factors that reduce noise exposure are:
• Selecting the correct tool.
• Adequate tool and machine maintenance.
• The use of appropriate hearing protection systems.
13. WARRANTY
All VIRUTEX machines are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of
supply, excluding any damage which is a result of incorrect use or of
natural wear and tear on the machine. All repairs should be carried
out by the official VIRUTEX technical assistance service.
VIRUTEX reserves the right to modify its products without prior notice.

PLAQUEUSE DE CHANTS PRÉENCOLLÉS EB135
Rapid
(FIGURES EN PAGE 41)
