PURPOSE

The safety vacuum cleaner
described in these oper-
ating instructions conforms
to type 1.
In accordance with its
proper use, it is used at
firing stands for the remov-
al of widespread conta-
mination caused by pro-
pellant charge powder.
The propellant charge
powder collected in the
vacuumed material during
the cleaning process must
not exceed approx. 50 g.
10
During the operation of the
cleaner, the ambient tem-
perature should not be less
than 0 °C nor over 40 °C.
For safety reasons, the
material to be vacuumed
may only contain up to 5 -
10 % uncombusted pro-
pellant charge powder.
Beyond its intended use,
the cleaner can also be
used to vacuum combus-
tible, dry dusts of dust
explosion classes St 1, St 2
and St 3 in zone 11 (see
ElexV, para 2(4)). It should
be noted that parts of the
vacuum cleaner can reach
temperatures up to 100 °C
during operation.
The cleaner may not be
used to vacuum materials
which could react danger-
ously with water.
The SQ 691-9M/B1 should
not be used to vacuum
dusts causing cancer and
other diseases.
If magnesium dusts are to
be collected, additional
safety measures are re-
quired.
