Filter System and Empty/Clean Filters
Your appliance features 3 filter systems.
1. Transparent Dust Container
The traditional dust bag system has been replaced by a trans-
parent dust container. Here the high flow rate swirls coarse dirt
and very small floating particles from the "suction air".
The easy-to-clean container allows the fill level to be checked
at all times. Having to purchase dust bags is a thing of the past.
2. Main Filter, Pre-Filter (In Dust Container)
WARNING:
Turn the appliance off and disconnect from the mains before
removing the filters.
Follow these steps if the dust inside the dust container exceeds
the MAX level:
1. Pull lever 12 (see. L and M).
WARNING:
• Disconnect from the mains before cleaning.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water. This may lead to electric
shock or fire.
2. Remove the dust container.
3. Empty the contents of the dust container above a suitable
collection container. For this press the button on the dust
container (see Fig. N).
4. Open the dust container lid (see Fig. O).
5. Remove the rib filter 11a (see Fig. P to R). Clean this filter
occasionally with a brush or, as shown, under running
water.
6. Remove the pre-filter 11 (see Fig. S and T). This compo-
nent can be easily cleaned under running water.
7. Replace the components only clean and dry. Turn clockwise
or anti-clockwise to lock in place.
3. Motor Protection Filter and Outlet Filter:
Clean the filter at the bottom of the dust container every time
you empty the container. The dust container 10 must be
detached for cleaning (see Fig. U and V).
NOTE:
After each third emptying or if heavily clogged, clean the filter
with running water against the air flow direction. Replace
filters only when completely dry!
Outlet Filter
We recommend cleaning this filter after every fifth emptying.
This filter is located behind the front cover grid 22 (see Fig. X).
Pull the filter out. Clean the filter as described above.
NOTE:
Clean all filter components once a month under running
water (see Fig. Y and Z). We also recommend this procedure
after vacuuming lots of fine dust or dust from a construction
site.
Cleaning and Storage
NOTE:
After each third emptying or if heavily clogged, clean the
filter with running water against the air flow direction.
Replace filters only when completely dry!
NOTE:
Turn clockwise or anti-clockwise to attach or detach the
following components.
