4.2.3 Automatic operating mode

In the optical output [1] appears the 1310 nm signal, after a certain period of
time will be replaced by the 1550 nm signal, after identical period of time will appear the
1310 nm signal again, repeating itself cyclically.
Both signals have been independently codified. With the purpose of allowing a
simultaneous analysis, by means of a suitable optical meter (e.g. PROLITE-20 from
PROMAX), without it is necessary to select separately the wavelength that is desired to
measure.
While the automatic mode remains activated, the modulation function will not be
operative.
