For your safety
1.1
Strictly follow the Instructions for Use
Any use of the equipment requires full understanding and strict
observation of these Instructions for Use and the Instructions
for Use for the Dräger X-zone 5000. The device is only to be
used for the purposes specified here.
1.2
Maintenance
The device must be inspected and serviced regularly by
specialists. Only appropriately trained personnel may check,
repair and maintain the product as described in these
Instructions for Use (see Chapter 5 on Page 10). Maintenance
work that is not described in these Instructions for Use may
only be carried out by Dräger or by Dräger-qualified
specialists. Dräger recommends taking out a service contract
with Dräger.
1.3
Safe coupling with electrical devices
Electrical connections to devices which are not listed in these
Instructions for Use should only be made following
consultation with the respective manufacturers or an expert.
1.4
Use in areas subject to explosion hazards
Devices or components for use in explosion-hazard areas
which have been tested and approved according to national,
European or international Explosion Protection Regulations
may only be used under the conditions specified in
the approval and with consideration of the relevant legal
regulations. The equipment or components may not be
modified in any manner. The use of faulty or incomplete parts
is forbidden. The appropriate regulations must be observed at
all times when carrying out repairs on these devices or
components.

Instructions for Use

These operating instructions refer to a series of warnings
concerning some risks and dangers that could occur when
using the equipment. These warnings contain signal words
which will alert you to the degree of hazard you may encounter.
These signal words and corresponding hazards are as follows:

avoided, could result in death or serious injury.

Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in physical injury, or damage to

2.2
Intended use
The AAC 010x (Dräger X-zone Switch Off) and AAC 011x
(Dräger X-zone Switch On) units are intended for use with the
AAC 00xx (Dräger X-zone 5000). When the connected Dräger
X-zone
5000
generates
zone Switch Off switches off the power supply to the
connected loads. When the connected Dräger X-zone 5000
generates an alarm, the Dräger X-zone Switch On switches on
the power supply to the connected loads.
Nominal voltage (3P+N+PE) of 400 V, 50 Hz, 32 A.
Within a temperature range of -20 °C to +50 °C, the units are
suitable for use in Zone 1 or Zone 2 potentially explosive areas
in which gases of explosion classes IIA, IIB, or IIC and
temperature class T4 may occur.
