Use
CAUTION
!
If the housing or any of its attached parts is
damaged (e.g. the connecting plug), the equipment
must be taken out of service immediately and
secured against being inadvertently switched on
again.
The pressure-tight housing may only be opened by
the manufacturer or by a person authorised by the
manufacturer.
Establish the earth bonding using the earthing
screw on the housing. This must be done with
a cable lug and a cable with a cross-section of at
2
least 4 mm
.
The X-zone Switch Off/On may only be operated
with a 400 V 3 phase+N 50 Hz input.
The intrinsically safe alarm input to the X-zone
Switch Off/On may only be made in conjunction
with the X-zone 5000 while complying with the
intrinsically safe characteristics (see Instructions
for Use for the Dräger X-zone 5000).
If several active devices are connected together in
an intrinsically safe circuit, other safety-related
values may arise. The intrinsic safety may be
compromised as a result.
Set up the equipment securely on a level surface.
Stress on the connecting and interconnecting
cables should be avoided.
Never bypass the safety devices or take them out
of operation.
Before use, examine the connecting cable for
defects or ageing.
When running the connecting cable, take care that
it does not get crushed or kinked and that the
connector does not get wet.
