2. Start-Up

2.1 Charger and Battery

The battery must be charged before the first use. The charge cycle lasts approx. seven hours
(depending on battery condition). Only use the charger included in the scope of delivery to
charge the battery. The charger is intended for a voltage range of 100 - 240 V AC and equipped
with a changeable secondary plug system, which can be replaced as needed with one intended
for the country in which the battery is charged. The battery cannot be overcharged because the
charge cycle is electronically monitored.
• Red LED „Power":
Continuous light signifies that the device
is ready for operation. It lights up as soon
as the device is connected to the mains.
• Red LED „Charge":
Continuous light signifies that the charge cycle after the battery is connected.
• Green LED „Ready":
Continuous light signifies that the battery is charged. The LED blinks after approx. two
minutes and the charger changes to trickle charging. The green LED light blinks for approx.
one minute after the battery is connected to the charger and signalises the battery test phase.
• Yellow LED „Discharge":
Continuous light signalises the discharging phase after the yellow discharge button is pressed
(held for approx. two seconds). two seconds).
Note:
• Under certain conditions a new battery or one stored for a long time could turn off
early while charging. In this case, the charge cycle should be repeated several times
to achieve the battery's maximum capacity.
• Only the delivered battery may be charged with the charger, as other types of batteries
are at risk of exploding.
• Do not open charger or battery.
• The charger and battery may only be operated in closed, dry rooms.
• The charger and battery must be protected from rain and moisture.
• The charger and battery may not be used if there is damage to their housing.
Non-observance of the guidelines can cause damage to the charger, the battery or
even serious injury to people!
