6. Verify minimum nominal volume flow. Proceed as follows:
• Connect the air hose to the blower unit and the diffuser for the protective screen. Then,
slide the hose nipples into the blower unit's air outlet (Image 2.3-5) and the diffuser's air
intake (Image 2.3-4, Pos. 5) with the bayonet catch.
• Turn on the blower unit as described in Point 5; ensure that the blower unit is in
the first power level (Image 2.2-1, Pos. 3). A green light lights up on the blower level display.
• During the start phase, the blower unit's control system verifies that internal volume flow
regulation is functioning properly and signalises this with an approx. two-second tone.
Hold the blower unit still in your hand and wait until you hear the confirmation tone.
It may take up to two minutes for the confirmation tone to sound, depending on the filter's
level of saturation. If you do not hear a confirmation tone then repeat the inspection by
turning off the blower unit and turning it back on after approx. 60 seconds. If you still do not
hear a confirmation tone then there may be a malfunction in the control system and/or the
blower. The blower unit must then be sent it to be examined. By no means should it be used!
• Be aware of filter saturation (Image 2.2-1, Pos. 4). If all four LEDs light up and
a warningtone also sounds then the minimum nominal volume flow cannot be guaranteed.
Change the particle filter and repeat the steps in Point 6. If you still do not hear a warning
then there may be a malfunction in the control system and/or the blower. The blower unit
must then be sent it to be examined. By no means should it be used!
• Turn off the blower unit by pressing the OFF button (Image 2.2-1, Pos. 2)
for approx. five seconds.
2.3 Use
You can use the KEMPER autoflow XP
the measures described in Sections 2.1 and 2.2. Also observe the operating instructions for
the welding protection cover that are included with the product!
Warning:
• The blower respirator system may only be used when turned on!
• The area with harmful substances must be vacated immediately if the blower respirator
system fails because otherwise the protective screen may quickly accumulate carbon
dioxide and experience oxygen depletion.
• Immediately vacate the area with harmful substances if the airflow in the welding
protective cover decreases is interrupted or if breathing becomes difficult, if dizziness,
drowsiness or other symptoms occur or if you taste/smell harmful substances!
