4.5 MACHINES SUPPLIED PARTLY
BROKEN-DOWN
Owing to their size, the machines may be supplied with detached
parts, always fi xed in the same pack.
Normally, the parts that are detached and subsequently assem-
bled by the customer are the 3rd point mounting frame, and/or
the roller unit .
Execute these installation operations with the utmost care.
Refer to the list of parts in the Spare Parts Catalogue. In
particular, apply the screw tightening torques as listed in the
Chart on following pages.
4.6 BEFORE USE
Before starting the machine, check that:
- The machine is perfectly in order, that the lubricants are at the
correct levels (see «Maintenance» chapter) and that all parts
subject to wear and deterioration are fully effi cient.
- Check the machine, also thet fi tted with roller, is correctly posi-
tioned for obtain the rigth working depth.
Mounting of the accident prevention guards:
By using "U" bolts 1 and 2 (pic.14), assembly the front protections
3 (pic.14) in order to cover the shaded area going from the lower
connection to the external side, as showed on the picture 14.
The clearance between the front protections (3) must be maximum
of 60 mm (see picture 13).
External front protection (3) must be mounted as near as possible
to the external side.
The front-side protection (4) must be fi xed to this latter, on the most
external position, by means of screw (5) and nut (6).
In case of assembly of optional (front wheel, track eradicators) on
the shaded area, position the front protections in order to leave
clearances as narrow as possible.
In case it would not be possible to leave this clearances, or if the
protections are damaged, order new ones as soon as possible,
giving the serial number of the machine.
WARNING
None of the following servicing, adjustment and preparation
operations must be carried out unless the pto is disengaged,
the machine is on the ground, the tractor engine is off and the
tractor itself is safely at a braked.
