Do not repeatedly recharge the battery after only a few
minutes of operation; this may result in a reduction of
operating time and battery efficiency.
The nickel-cadmium battery must be kept separate from the
natural environment and should not be disposed of as
normal domestic waste.
§
Prior to disposal protect battery terminals with heavy
tape to prevent short-circuit.
If you anticipate long periods of non-use for the tool, it is
best to unplug the charger from its power source.
Inserting the accessory
§
Before any work on the machine itself, remove the
battery.
Screwdriving
Insert the bit G into the tool holder A or when using screw-
driver bits G, additionally use the universal bit holder H.
§
Do not use bits with a damaged shank.
Starting operation
ON/OFF SWITCH (see figure 3)
To start the machine, press the On/Off switch C and keep it
depressed and to switch off the machine, release the
On/Off switch C.
Attention: If the rotational direction switch B to the centre
position is not possible press the On/Off switch C.
REVERSING THE ROTATIONAL DIRECTION
§
Operate the rotational direction switch B only at a
standstill.
The rotational direction switch B is used to reverse the
rotational direction of the machine. However, this is not
possible with the On/Off switch C actuated.
Right Rotation: Press the rotational direction switch
through (normal operation: drilling, screwdriving, etc.).
Left Rotation: Press the rotational direction switch through
(for loosening and unscrewing screws and nuts).
When not properly set in left/right position, switch C
can not be activated.
Application device
Use the appropriate bits.
! Do not use damaged bits.
When turning in a screw at/near the cross cut end or an
edge of wood one should pre-drill a hole in order to avoid
cracking of the wood
For an optimal use of the tool a steady pressure on the
screw is required, especially while removing
When screwdriving in hard wood one should pre-drill a hole

For safe and proper working, always keep the machine and
the ventilation slots clean.
Keep tool and charger clean.
- The charger may be cleaned most effectively with
compressed air (wear safety goggles).
- Clean charging contacts in charger with alcohol or contact
