Waste, bark, wood treated with paint,
panels, coal and plastic must not be
burned, otherwise the warranty be-
comes void.
Continuous and prolonged use of wood
particularly rich in aromatic oils (e.g. eu-
calyptus, myrtle, etc.) causes rapid dete-
rioration of the internal components of
the appliance.
The rated kW output of the appliance is obtained
by burning the correct amount of wood, taking
care not to overload the combustion chamber.
The wood must have a recommended moisture
content no higher than 25% and an ideal length
of about 33 cm. It must be arranged horizontally,
taking care not to completely obstruct the slots
on the fireplace grill and the front and rear holes
of the combustive air distributor.
The reference standard for fuel is: UNI / ISO 17225-1
"Log wood originating from forestry".
4 IGNITION
Performing all manual operations using
the glove (provided) is recommended.
4.1 First use
Before using the appliance for the first
time, remove the stickers and packaging
inside the stove and the external stickers
applied to the glass.
The first times the appliance is used
(after installation or when the cold
season starts), loads must be limited
(about 2 kg/h) and the product must
remain on for at least 4 hours at low
operating speeds. Continue with these
load levels for at least the subsequent
three days before using the appliance
at full capacity. This will help evaporate
any moisture accumulated in the re-
fractory elements while the appliance
was not in use.
IT IS advisable for the installation technician to
perform the "first ignition".
First ignition is a fundamental operation: it
means you can test the stove in full operation
and gradually evaporate the water used in the
construction mixtures to ensure durability and
long-lasting performance.
26
When starting up the appliance for the first time
unpleasant smells or fumes may be caused by
the evaporation or drying of some of the materi-
als used, and water may be lost from the cement.
This phenomenon will gradually disappear.
For this reason, keeping rooms well ventilated
when using the appliance for the first time is
advisable.
1. Open the dual-aperture door by pulling the
handle(s) outwards to release the locking pin
on the upper side of the glass; once the lock has
been released, open the door and guide it down-
wards with your hand to avoid impacts (Fig. 5.1).
2. Adjust the glass cleaning air (fully open) as
shown in Fig. 4.1;
3. Close the door.
