Filling the hopper
Fill the hopper with the material you
want to spread in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions (refer to
details of quantities on the packaging
of the material).
Driving
!
Caution
When starting off, make sure that the
spreader does not lose it balance and
does not tilt.
Do not exceed the maximum speed
(10 km/h).
There is a risk of the spreader overturn-
ing when you are working on slopes.
Do not work on slopes having an incline
of more than 10%.
Drive slowly and carefully, especially
when turning.
Drive slowly on uneven ground (danger
of overturning).
Wear safety footwear.
Note: The width of spread (1.2 to 2.4 m)
and density of spread depend on your
walking speed. At high speed the mate-
rial is spread over a wider area and
more thinly; at low speed the reverse is
5
true.
6
Do not push the control lever (Figure 1,
7
No. 2) right to the stop until after you
4
have moved off.
5
Set the control lever (Figure 1, No. 2) to
"OFF" when turning.

Tips on using the spreader
3.5
The recommended speed is 5 km/h. Set
4
a higher rate of spread at higher speeds
4
or a lower rate at lower speeds.
5
Make sure the lanes over which the ma-
6
terial is spread overlap each other suffi-
ciently.
4.5
With rectangular areas of lawn, spread
5.5
the material over two opposing sides of
6.5
the area first so as to be able to use
3.5
them as turning areas. Then spread in
4.5
between them in lanes.
5.5
If the lawn is not rectangular, spread
the material around the whole edge
first.
Drive the spreader at an adequate dis-
tance (approximately 1.2 m) from areas
on which you do not want to spread ma-
terial.
Care and maintenance
Every time you use the spreader
Check all screw connections for loose
fitting and tighten as necessary.
When you have finished work-
ing
Pack unused material for storage.
Clean the spreader with water and dry
it.
At beginning and end of season
Put a few drops of lubricating oil on all
moving parts.
B model: Check the tyre pressure. It
must be 2 bar.
Storage
If the spreader is not going to be used
for a long period of time (such as in win-
ter), store it in a dry room.
